Take notice that an Extraordinary Meeting of British Columbia Golf has been called at Richmond, British Columbia on Saturday, October 27th, 2012. The meeting will commence at 10:00am on the site of Quilchena Golf and Country Club (3551 Granville Avenue Richmond, BC V7C 1C8).
To allow proper time for the registration of delegates, the registration desk will be open at 9:30am.
Order of Business
The order of business will be to hear the following Special Resolution of Members to approve new By-Laws.
Whereas:
- British Columbia Golf Association and the British Columbia Ladies Golf Association merged in 2004 to serve the needs and grow interest in the sport of golf for all British Columbians
- There is the need to revisit the governance structure to ensure sound principles are in place as it relates to a not-for-profit organization
- The Board of Directors, on August 28th, 2012, approved a new set of By-Laws that modernizes our organization
British Columbia Golf requires a Special Resolution of the members in order to amend and adopt the By-Laws.
