Playground to Fairway School Golf Program

Playground to Fairway is British Columbia Golf’s school program which introduces basic golf skills to school-aged children throughout BC in a simple, safe and fun way.

Playground to Fairway is guided by the Long Term Athlete Development Guide for Golf in Canada and uses the “Learn to Play” stage of development to reach children in grades four, five and six (ages eight through 12). In the future Playground to Fairway is set to expand its programs to reach children from kindergarten to grade three, and youth from grades seven to 12.

The physical activity for each session is guided by a trained Playground to Fairway Coach, with help from teachers/volunteers, in a comfortable setting to ensure everyone has a positive experience learning the basics of golf.

National Golf in Schools

Whether it’s indoors or outdoors the National Golf in Schools Program is bringing the game of golf to Canadian schools. This program has been developed for teachers to provide students the opportunity to develop aspects of “physical literacy” related to the sport of golf, and increase student knowledge and appreciation for the sport of golf.
