Train To Be A Community Coach

If you’re looking at getting more involved in junior golf at your facility and want to help your PGA of Canada professional with their Junior Golf Programming, this workshop is designed for the Community Golf Coach who is, or would like to, work with children or youth introducing the basic skills of golf.

The goal is to help prepare YOU to be competent in the skills required by a community coach.

We are confident that these two days will be a great opportunity for you to reflect on some of your current understandings of children, junior golf and the environments children want to participate in.

There will be plenty of opportunities to share your thoughts, opinions and laughter with other Community Golf Coaches during the training. Not only will we have interactive classroom discussion, but we will also put that theory into action by getting hands on practice with outdoor components.

Your facilitator is an experienced PGA of Canada member who is currently active with successful junior programs using CN Future Links as the core programming. There will be opportunities to learn more about CN Future Links during this workshop. This workshop falls under the Community Stream within the National Coaching Certification Program.

Following this workshop, you will receive an NCCP# with the Coaching Association of Canada (or will automatically be added to your transcript if you already have an existing NCCP# from another sport).

If you have any questions about the program or on when these workshops are offered, please contact Matt Allen at matt@pgaofcanada.com or 1-800-782-5764 ext. 236
