British Columbia Golf is the official Golf Association in BC, recognized by the Government of BC.  Member-based, it provides programs and services that benefit golfers and the golf industry in the province. These include the maintenance of the Handicapping and Course Rating system, holding Provincial Amateur Competitions, Rules of Golf education and training, Player Development initiatives and Provincial Teams.     British Columbia Golf manages and delivers 12 Provincial Championships for different age groups with the considerable help of over 1,000 volunteers in different regions of the Province.  Zone Councils run many more events as qualifers for Provincial events, and as additional competitions.

    Long Term Player Development (LTPD) has been adopted by Golf Canada in partnership with the Canadian Professional Golfers’ Association to maximize a participant’s potential and involvement in our sport by defining optimal conditions for success.

  • Rules, Ratings and Handicaps

    British Columbia Golf administers the Rules of Golf and handicap system as developed by the world governing bodies of golf and administered in Canada by Golf Canada. We offer workshops, publications and on-the-job training to volunteers who are interested in assisting with tournaments and events around British Columbia.
