Junior Golf

Our vision at British Columbia Golf is to introduce and grow the sport of golf by providing everyone in the province the opportunity to participate in a sport that promotes their physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Golf is one of the only sports that has values such as honesty and integrity built right into the game. It is important children are taught these lessons so they can discover how to use them in a variety of situations they face at home, school, during sports and play, and in everyday social interaction.

British Columbia Golf Is Committed To Safe Sport - With An Inclusive, Respectful Environment For All Golfers

Sport organizations in British Columbia are committed to creating a sport that is accessible, inclusive, respects their participant's personal goals and is free from all forms of Maltreatment.

As such, British Columbia Golf fully supports that protecting children and youth is everyone's responsibility.

As a part of this role we offer access to information on how to report any situation where one has reason to believe that a child or youth is subject to situations where safety and well-being may be compromised.

First Tee Program

British Columbia Golf proudly supports First Tee – British Columbia, Golf Canada’s youth development program that provides children with life-enhancing experiences through golf.

First Tee – British Columbia offers accessible and inclusive programming at golf courses, schools, and community centres with unique curriculum, equipment, and training requirements for each. Together, we are introducing more children to golf, especially those who otherwise likely would not have the opportunity.

First Tee – British Columbia launched in 2021 and has positively impacted over 31,000 children through golf. To learn more about becoming a First Tee program location, coach, or donor, visit https://firstteebc.ca/ or contact sstefani@golfcanada.ca or firstteebc@golfcanada.ca

Golf Canada partnered with First Tee to launch First Tee – Canada in 2021 and now operates programming in every province. First Tee began in the U.S. in 1997 and has since expanded to over 150 chapters across all 50 states and seven international networks, bettering the lives of over 15 million youth through golf.
