Vancouver Golf Tour's Vancouver Open Looking For Players & Volunteers

The Vancouver Open Charity Pro-Am put on by The Vancouver Golf Tour (VGT) takes place on Wednesday, September 20th at Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey and they are actively looking for those interested in playing in the tournament and also for additional volunteers.

VGT Commissioner Fraser Mulholland has put out the following release and information on the event:

Dear Friends,

I would like to welcome you all to come out and be a part of the 2017 Vancouver Open Charity Pro-Am, where I look forward to sharing a great day on the golf course with all of you in support of a great charity.

For the 6th straight year the beneficiary of our Pro-Am will be the FIRST TEE of Greater Vancouver YMCA. With your support of the event, we are looking to push our fundraising efforts to new heights. Together we can impact the lives of many young people through the fundraising efforts of the event. Moneys raised will help provide educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

Through after-school and in-school programs, the FIRST TEE Program helps shape the lives of young people from all walks of life. By reinforcing values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf, the FIRST TEE is making a difference. Their research-proven programs are having a positive impact on participants, their families and their communities. We hope to make a difference on September 20th!

Please join me for a great day of golf, wonderful food, exciting auctions, prizes and let's show our support for children's health and well being through this great game of golf! Thank-you in advance for your support and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Fraser Mulholland Commissioner, Vancouver Golf Tour

FIRST TEE Juniors came out to assist the players with the Putting Contest to raise funds for the Charity. The Vancouver Open Charity Pro-am has raised over $40,000 for Charity the last 9 years.
